Svenson & Gielen (Airscape) tracks/remixes are quite easy to identify too... their pumping bassline and sythns phrasing are what probably stands out most... Really ENERGETIC!!!!!

Push/MIKE like to use similar harmonic structure for the tracks. Always in minor keys, and always opting for the darker resolution for each melodic phrase. Really emotional!!!

Gouryella's tones are absolutely brilliant!!!! Perfect balance of polyphony and GREAT MELODIES make them UPLIFTING GODS!!!! Hectic Indeed!!!!!!

I think I'd have to agree

Starecase I find are reasonably easy to spot, love most of their remixes, don't have many original tracks by them.

NuBreed are quite good to ID, they're a melbourne (or Aus) group if anyone's curious. They're playing Live at Kryal Kastle pretty soon.
Great remixes of DJ Tiesto - Obsession and Way Out West - Stealth. Similar to Hybrid.

At the moment Hybrid's new releases haven't elicited too much passion from me, they're okay but they don't really stand out like some of their older stuff which included more classical sounds (violin etc.). Although their remix of Conjure One - Tears From The Moon.. I Really liked.

Some other artists I find similar, but still good (IE. not repetitive) are Ferry Corsten (Most of his remixes are gold), also Barraka, Matt Darey, Thrillseekers, Seraque......ah wtf am I talking about....all artists are great...and if they seem repetitive it's only cos they caught onto a sound that was great..and it still sounds awesome in other remixes..

Wow, some damn good observations here.

Sure makes me look like a lameass with my 'helicopter' and 'thumping hollow bass' descriptions.

Keep it up folks, it's good to be able to see where you're coming from when I'm listening to these songs. Especially enjoying the Hybrid references. (Who are they by the way? Any other pseudonyms?)

I truly apologise for insulting your guys intelligence by even mentioning ATB, I feel so dirty and cheap... and naked.

i think however good these descriptions are, they are still pretty dodgy. Its like when your out and you hear a track that blows your mind and your trying to explain it to someone.

"Yeah it goes like this, do do do do DO DOOOOOO" and your friend has no idea what the song is like and you hear it again sometime later and think wtf i was way off with my do do do shit.

hahaha...yeah that often happens to me. Any tune I try to replicate usually sounds like random utter crap.
I think the only track I can do is Trisco- Ultra and maybe Punk...and that's still pretty dodgy.

Classified Project - Resurrection

Hybrid Junkie: what you said about Starecase remixes you are right, they have a very definative sound.. with any starecase production your after a winner really

another artist that has a very definative sound is Signum, you can easily tell if they have produced or remixed a track, they have a certain sound, which can easily be picked up.
