Ah yes, that arpy sound makes it very trippy and powerful, another joof gem.
Both this and 5000LYFE sound mental when pitched up by about 2 bpm.

Hard to say what's necessarily underrated, as in something that didn't get the critical appreciation it deserved, since there's a bunch of gems that just didn't get the airtime it deserved and as such wasn't really rated at all.
I tend to think about this question in terms of trance, probably because of just how monopolized it was by what Armin and co. decided to air on ASOT, but this was a low profile track by a high profile ASOT regular. Gorgeous:

Yeah Perfect Wave saw no shortage of love, and as far as I know was Peter Martin's breakout track, featured on Armin's first ASOT album and on Oakenfold's Creamfields compilation. It was his equally massive follow-up Simply Blue that wasn't given the same treatment (yes, also despite opening the second disc on Armin's second ASOT compilation):
Ripped from one of Oakey's old mixes because it just sounds fantastic here

x 2
There was quite a huge fuss about it at the time both in the main boards and the amateur producer boards. Some early mp3s floating about on the Tranceaddict DC++ hub at the time

John Askew - Homesick
I remember a remix of this where the part between 3:30 and 4:50 is looped all over again with differents effects added each time... too bad I can't find it.
Original is slightly underrated, too.

One of my all time faves, but not many know about it.
*This is actually the original mix (the label messed up the release).

At least one additional soul knows about it now. Not going to be a favourite of mine but there's nice elements in here. I reckon it's better than the more recent Baltic Sound releases on Nueva Digital.
