Fully settled in with baby now. Definitely enjoying this time before I go back in 2 weeks. My work gave me 6 weeks paid leave, pretty nice. Also trying to ramp up to getting back in the water in the mornings for swim practice.
I need a weekend off, if only to repay my sleep debt. I've spent most of this evening ironing clothes, then went for a glass of wine. That's about as intense as it will get.
Worked all day, but now hom and about to jump in my hot tub and hope that my two extremely boisterous cats don't entirely destroy the house by the time I'm finished.

ugh. spending all weekend cleaning up after my shit tenants who left heaps of junk around when they moved out.

The highlight of my Friday comes in the form of a question to English speakers: Does the sentence "My world is mesmerised" make any sense in a song?
I'm playing with a sample pack, and I got this after some cutting and pasting a few words. It sounds good, but it doesn't seem this particular phrase has ever been strung before according to Google, so I wonder if it's just gibberish. This is supposed to come right after the phrase "you got me mesmerised". Or mesmerized, if you will.
