I keep em, there not a nuisance to me anymore.
But, there is a practical use for them (beyond protecting your plastic). If you spin at a club, or your house is really hot and damp (moist) after a little while on the decks, your slipmats will probably get damp (not to damp, but enough to be annoying) and not slip like they usually do, to solve this, simply take one of the many sleeves lieing around and cut it to vinyl size, and place it under your slipmat. It absorbs most of the moisture and keeps your slipmat - slipping!
