It's not that I have the illusion that it won't grow even more in the years to come. If my kids what to celebrate Halloween I won't forbid them to, I just won't encourage them. Our neighbors who around 30 years old decorated their front window for Halloween, but their daughter is just 1 year old so I expect her at the door in the future. I'll just play along.
There are also horror trips near the woods organized over here.
Oktoberfest is another one which isn't ours. I would say visit München if you want to drink and party in October and can't wait till the Carnaval season starts, which is at 11-11.
