Good for him.

ISOS still tanked under his stewardship.

nah you're right, i just wanted to play devils advocate, and to your credit, i don't know if the isos name on itself was strong enough to be carried on ..

now asot on the other hand...there might be some brand recognition there, i could possibly see ferry corsten or someone take control...it might lose some of its steam though, but not completely fall off the face of the earth like isos ..

Well...

Here are the number of folks that have ISOS in their collections at Discogs:

ISOS 1: 948
ISOS 2: 936
ISOS 3: 1039
ISOS 4: 1037
ISOS 5: 907
ISOS 6: 790
ISOS 7: 705
ISOS 8: 223
ISOS 9: 177
ISOS 10: 166
ISOS 11: 126
ISOS 12: 111
ISOS 13: 105
ISOS 14: 98
ISOS 15: 70

While Discoggians are hardly representative of music listeners abroad, I think this is a good sample-set of how popular the series was for a time, and how it completely fell off without any megastar DJ tagged to it.

At least, until the last two, where the Schulzer took over, which did nothing to stop the bleeding.

Steve Helstrip did a great set on Twitch yesterday filled with classics. It’s fun to see these guys be able to play for themselves vs. the usual live crowds. They look liberated.
