About 5 years ago I was really into rap, back when Wu-Tang Clan was making those tight kung-fu style beats with "dope" lyrics. Eventually, I grew out of that but theres still some good stuff around from people like Nas for example but thats where I draw the line. On the other hand, Tiesto147 is still going through that phase

Yup, Its John Digweed...Havent seen him since April though =(
I think the word Progressive is used very openly to the point where it really has no meaning anymore. Just look at Sasha or Digweed's latest albums (AirDrawnDagger,MMII), What genre would that be under? Tech house, Ambient Trance, Tribal?? They used to be categorized as progressive DJ's but now they're in a class of their own.
When your DJ changes styles, are you supposed to follow because hes YOUR DJ?

when Paul started playing Progressive back in march, that really got me upset. Like, Paul van Dyk playing something not *he* (if you understand, leave that for the other people but not Paul.)
I`m very glad he went through it and it's all fine now. I respect him more now thant I used to back in February.

It felt really good to go see PvD at Arc and Roxy last week but now I think need something like that every single weekend (kinda like a crackhead whos feening for a rush )
it happens - you can't force the party (a saying from a friend of mine). i feel like i am getting burnt out so i am taking a break. i used to be into phish and then i just wasn't anymore. it makes me sad tht my love for one type of music just faded away but there will always be new passions to fill that void in your life. and maybe if you take a break yours will come back to this scene (if you want it to.)

Yo stringbean ur getting old right?
All kidding aside just go out for the big DJ's. If you go clubbing every wk it will become stale and montonous. If you go out once & while and have a blast it will be more meaningful.
