so speaking of different setups - i have a 1200 in the lounge room, plugged via RCA directly into the AV. as there's no mixer in between i have to turn the AV up to a million to get a decent volume (and it therefore sounds pretty rubbish).

i've done some hunting and have seen a few small units for boosting audio signals. does anyone have any experience with these and could provide any advice on a particular brand/model? this is just for listening obviously, i wanna avoid busting out the mixer for non-mixing duties.

i use shure whitelabels if that makes a difference? though i see riaa units can have switches for both which sounds like the plan.
