I had REALLY killer seats to fulfill my dream of seeing Blondie live back when I was pregnant. The show ended up being way too close to my due date and I didn't want to chance going into labour in another city, without my husband there. Lol.

Switching tv channels took about a minute as the antenna on the roof needed to turn 180 degrees and two minutes if you picked the wrong direction

We had a rotator on our UHF and VHF TV antennas, too. Dad had the dial on the rotor box labeled for Nashville and Chattanooga based channels, lol. Getting the UHF up for Fox 17 out of Nashville was one of the highlights of our childhood. That meant we finally, like my cousin next door, got the better cartoons!

The reason it had to rotate over here was to select between German, Belgian and Dutch channels
It won't be a surprise people of my age over here talk better German than younger ones. Luckily it never bothered me that many US stars of tv series had the same voice in German
We had subtitles instead.
