LG or "Lucky Goldstar" as their better known are renowned for their cheap imitations of hardware. the build quality is poor and the people behined it are a smalll nasty japanease (sp?) company. being in the business myself, i wouldnt tocuh these ******s witha 10 ft barge pole. thats the word round the computer campfire though, i have never owned an LG product due to its very bad reputation. always go with a brand name yovue hear good things about / read a review for / or have had good personal experience in the past with. its a salutry (sp?) lesson

LOL! Japanese? no it's korean. anyhow I have an LG burner and for some reason it doesn't burn as fast as it should.. 32/10/40x but it burns slower than the Lite-On 32x I have in my other computer. THe Lite-On takes a little more than 3 minutes a CD while my LG one takes a little more than 8 minutes!

8 Minutes is only a burning speed of about 12x

LG has some amazing products, especially their high end tv sets. excellent quality (dont try to argue, i know what i've seen and what friends have) as for zenith being shit, i have a vcr from them thats about 15 years old and it still works as good as new, even the remote. and their new products are equally as good.
LG made the hp burners before they went it alone as well.... and i've had no complaints about my hp burner (in my old pc) i'd recommend checking the speed the cd is rated for that youre burning...also if youre using nero, disable smart burn... that'll cause you to burn slower than you shoud. also check ram and hd space and proc... all have a lot to do with burning cd's
