Damn, this post actually got some replies! That's cool! I've read what all of you have written, and yeah I sort of agree with all of you, including that me included is part of the problem to not have been posting here for quite some time. But I will for sure post here more again also, and I hope more people will too! As mentioned, facebook groups and such really has no feeling of connection I think.. My borderline has been quite off the railes the past few years though, so I haven't really been too social overall anyway, but I hope we can rekindle the golden days of TA!

nothing gives me the same feeling i got here when i joined. i'm starting too realize that that's the only reason i still post or browse; i'm looking to replicate that feeling but the world has moved on. getting old sucks

I'm extremly grateful that things here came together in such an organic way that it all felt natural and nothing was forced. We came here to engage on topics whereas these days so much of online media is "PUSHED IN YOUR FACE - ENGAGE WITH ME DAMMIT!".

If you think about it, the Internet/web evolved at a snail's pace from 1995-2007 - everything really accelerated once the iphone/smart phones + facebook came out. Cambridge Analytica then exposed how big Tech is infilitrating so much of our online footprint to shape our views/drain our dollars. The web that existed with random creative pockets of niche sites everywhere will never return because it is near impossible for anyone to know your site even exists without spending a ton of $ on ads.

Random: One relic from the past that is still active is Something Awful Forums with 276 million posts! They're somehow also running on the same ancient vbulletin version as TA is on.
