originally posted byHLDSHA003I think u got it wrong when u accuse tidy of putting out "synth bashing hoovers"..its not like that anymore..just check out guyver/riot bros new offering..as well as the freak

And also i think its important to keep an open mind..6 months ago i wouldnt have given a BK tune ANY attention..but now i think twice..Revolution was awesome and was even included in one of ferry corsten's sets during his 4 hour show with armin earlier this year..it all depends on how it can fit in a set and what affect it could have on the crowd when played/positioned correctly..music is fusing..hard,uplifting,techy,breaks..when put together by talented producers the combination is exciting and dancefloor devastating!!

Well, the last comp I heard from Tidy was full of those synth mashers that I described, but I've heard good things about Guyvver and Riot Bros. over the last few weeks...so I'll check it out. Thanks for the heads upTotally agree with the other things you said...open-mindedness is the key!

Im mainly into hard trance / hard style i.e. yoji biomehanika, scot project, fluctlicht, shokk, dumonde, cosmic gate.I hated the old hardhouse all hoovers and shit and the off beat bass but the new stuff can be mint stuff like BK revolution its getting some techno elements and is starting to sound more grown up

Also, a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether, and two dozen amyls. Not that we needed all that for the trip, but once you get into a serious drug collection, the tendency is to push it as far as you can. The only thing that really worried me was the ether. There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge, and I knew we'd get into that rotten stuff pretty soon.

Hmmmmmmmmmmm I like both, but I really prefer hard trance, I'd say that I listen to hard trance 95% of the time as opposed to hard house.
Flutlicht, Shokk, Alphazone, etc.

However I don't think that people give Nick Sentience the credit that he deserves, its kinda funny to see people so taken aback by BK all of a sudden, he and Nick have worked together on several tracks.

Nick Sentience & BK - Flash
Nick Sentience & BK - Injected w/ a Poison
Nick Sentience & BK - Soundman

Flash being my favorite outta the three.

Oh well just my opinion on the subject, nothing more, nothing less.

i play hard house and some hard trance
personally, i love hard house
playing it just gives me a rush
the raw energy and all that while people go off to your tunes
it's just amazing

i think it's an accquired taste

for good hard house, check out honeypot
that label is the best for any hard style tune
that's what label i'm going to be buying from the most from now on

tidy used to be all about the over-use of hoovers... personally, i don't like it
i know, being a hard house dj, i should like hoovers, but over-use of the hoover can become sick

but lately tidy has been releasing some decnet tunes
usually though i stick with nukleuz and honeypot mainly

my style is all about the rolling bassline... it just sounds so good on a big party system

okie dokie, you may now flame away
/me puts on flame retardant suit

I used to play Hardhouse when I first started spinning,,, mainley because it was the first style of electronic music I was introduced to here in Vancouver. I guess I baught about 150 hardhouse and some hard trance records,,, and they're all awesome records,,, at least better than any of the records that hardhouse dj's stil play in this city. But honestly,,, once I started learning more about music and actually paying attention to trance and progressive,,, it just doesn't compare in my eyes. Sure it's fun to listen once in awhile,,, and there's no denying the energy you can get from a crowd that is into it,,, but trance and progressive IMO is so much nicer to listen to and so much more of an 'intellegent sound'. It's not that I don't like my hardhouse records anymore,, it's just that I have 300 other trance and progressive records that I'd play over the hardhouse. I like spinning trance and progressive because you can actually take people on a journey and see the emotion that your set creates,,, as opposed to mindless BANG BANG BANG BANG (although like I said it can be fun at times).
