Yes, I have, some 6 years ago. And it's normal in all Benelux countries. There are bicycles everywhere.. and did you know that it is customary to "borrow" a bicycle if you see it on the street whenever you need it, and it won't be termed as theft, as long as you return it eventually to the same place you took it from.

Are ppl nowadays too lazy to use their own human strength? Instead the prefer to be drifted off by a 2 wheeled machine. Like I said. for downtown it is great but eveything else?? C'maaaaan. Don't be lazy and let it replace "your feet". You have to remember that there is people who have had their legs amputaded and ppl that are parapeligic who would kill to be able to walk again. Seriously. Don;t take your legs for granted. To me, more or less, it seems like a device for ppl who are too lazy to walk 3km or less.
Yeah, but when you live in Scarberia like myself, using your feet to get somewhere around here is more like a suicidal attempt...

It looks totally rediculous.. have you seen those business people on scooters? It's hillarious. I can understand a kid or some funky people, but not suits!
When I was in Sweden, I saw some guy ride around in those scooters kids play with here. He had his tie flipped over his shoulder so it wouldnt get in the way...and he had his briefcase tied to the end of it with a bungee cord. It was quite the sight..but it was normal for people down there hehe
The Segway is not just another scooter for kids to do stunts with... its a next step in human evolution. And there are 2 main reasons why the Segway is so big and why it will change transportation as we know it.
1. The Segway has motors but they are rarely in use. The machine was designed to use no energy. And, as seen, it actually works. A person has to step on this platform and bend forward and the Segway moves forward.. etc.
2. Imagine a car that has stopped on a red light downtown Toronto. The car takes up quite a bit of area of the road. If you think about it, about 8 segways can fit comforatably in the same area as the car takes up. So, for every car that goes off the road, 8 segways can be put on the street which means 8 more cars go off the road... etc. This would lower the traffic congestion by an order of magnitude... or more.

Kewl! Those things are F-in' ugly....par'don me but if you feel that this will revolutionize human traffic, let me tell you something....I would not endanger myself nor anyone else with that piece of barely-usage motorized piece of trash.....
True, it saves energy but your point of "Revolution" here will not stop the GM, Honda or any other Automakers from making their profits...who's gonna shut them down, you? The Segway? I doubt it....
Oh well, there are enough cars as it is...and people would rather stick to a well-built automobile over some beta-testing toy...
For $5K, you can buy a decent honda civic with 200,000kms or even less...and still will have more mileage this Segway will ever have...
Talking about Segway, how long do you think the tires last? I would say about 8000kilometers or less...
Reality sucks....but this is just a re-invention, not a Revolution...
