Yes, I think it's largely a personal issue! But the general ranges listed above are what you're after.
For me, navel-height works best.
Let me suggest one thing though!! -- Try to set up the height of your tables so you don't have to bend your back! IMO this is VERY important - if you're going to spend a lot of time behind the decks (practising and whatnot), the last thing you want is to ruin your back from the constant bending-over. Set it up so that you can stand up straight and still do everything as usual. From that, then, I'd say don't put it below your waist (generally speaking).
