Bending does the trick for me.......never understood how records get warped when their at a record store...makes you wonder what the workers do with some of the records....frizbee maybe??

i dont think they get warped at the record shops.. i think they get that way in mass transit from the manufacturer to the vendors.

the oven thing works too. there was a thread about it a long time ago about how exactly to do it... its not hard though don't worry.

Ok, I have warped records and I play them just fine, anybody else have the same experience?

I just manipulate the platter. Torque the spindle to speed it up, and drag the platter to slow it down, because if you touch the vinyl it stops dead and glides across the slipmat.

As for pushing off, as long as you push off at the near perfect (as in matching the speed of the platter) speed so that it doesn't have to be sped up or slowed down by the spinning platter too much, it won't drift more than a beat, so you can still have them synced up.

I have found that bending does not work, they always spring back to their old warped shapes.. Although maybe I've been to scared to really really bend them.

lol, i've "put up" with "manipulating" the platter before as you say, dragging the platter to slow it down etc, but i think its hard and shouldn't be made a habit of.
