The one thing my lousy memory is good at is track titles and how each of them sounds, down to the smallest note... So I ussually recognize um immediately
And I agree with TranceAramda, I also start going wild the moment I recognize it and everyon stares
I remember the song when it reaches a certain point (then DING! oh yea!! ) for me

I'm strange in this respect. I can immediately recognize a song I've heard before and yet can often not produce the artist name or title. Usually if I then take a few seconds to actually listen to the sounds carefully I'll be able to figure out who produced it, then sometimes I can identify the specific track. Not always though, the other day I listened to the entire duration of Field Of Joy without being able to determine what was playing.

I can usually pick up a song that ive heard before or know right off the bat..
IF my memory serves me right that is..
An easy way to do it.. is to recognize the unique sounds that producers have.. taht way you can easily limit the number of choices

If i know the song i can pick it on the beats or bassline usually. I might fumble around for the name for a while though. My friend and i race to call songs first.

This is the exact same with me. I went nuts when Tiesto played Andain-Summer Calling at a club recently, and I felt so weird being the only one screaming cuz it was a kickass tune.

I can usually tell when I have heard a track before, but I definitely can't put a name to it unless it's something I *really* like. I definitely can't do the reverse and think of how a track sounds when I see its name.

Tiesto dropped Summer Calling when he was here in Oct, and I felt the same way. I love that track, but everyone else seemed to have never heard it before.

Usually when you tend to own the record and play around with it all the time you'll remember the whole record so as soon as it comes on you'll be able to tell.
