my brother just got ps2 a couple weeks ago and got it modded at pacific mall

so ours we don't have to use gameshark or anything
we just put the burnt game in and it runs (you just have to push power when closing the cd tray as opposed to eject)

my problem is we have Vice City and everything was working fine
then my bro goes and buys FIFA and starts playing that

now, Vice City doesn't work anymore
it'll load, and when you start playing you'll just start falling through the pavement and then drop from the sky, fall through the pavement, drop from the sky, etc. etc. etc. and the game just freezes afterwards

anyone have any ideas? if its the game or the system?

aside from that we haven't had any real problems
LOTR: twin towers would have trouble loading a couple levels but that was maybe every 1 in 20 levels it loaded

Hi Demon,
I would strongly advise not going to Pacific Mall, Market Village, or Dragon Center, in Scarborough or Markham, since they tend to do half ass mod installs, and love to rip you off.

I got a neo 2.2 gameshark swap mod installed at one of the places and they totally played around with my system, putting in screws that prevented other ppl from tampering with it, adding devices and wires that would delibertly cause the PS2 to malfunction in a few months just so I would come back to them. (A swap mechanism that required batteries only they provide)

Anyhow I know of a very reliable installer in Markham, who does Apple no swap chips, for $200, and you can watch and wait while he does it. He fixed up my PS2. Let me know if you want his info.
