go for a geforce 4 ti 4200 64 mb (not a 128, these aren't much better than a 64 mb version)

one other thing....get more ram.

and if you really want to you might want to upgrade your processor while youre at it. you can get athlon XPs really cheap now

1900+ $70
2000+ $73
2100+ $86
2200+ $138

cant really go wrong with those prices, and you should notice the difference

oh yes the ram is $109 for 512mb of pc2100
$43 for 256mb <<
prices taken from www.pricewatch.com

happy hunting

well i wont be buying 'house brand' ram off pricewatch, id still go with crucial, but whats the difference between these?
512mb pc2100 unbuff-nonparity-64x64 = $160
512mb pc2100 unbuff-ECC-64x72 = $181
512mb pc2100 registered-ECC-64x72 = $207

the only problem with upgrading the processor is that means a new motherboard also... i dont want to deal with that right now

get a ATI Radeon 9500 Pro or Radeon 9700, its much more advance than the geforce4 series. it support DX9 and has fine/sexy image quality. Just wait a couple of month for it to cum down to ~150

ok get a GF3 TI500 and a ne wprocessor.....something in the region of an amd athlon xp 2000+...

and if you get money left go for ram with it.....then you can play most of the games out there without a problem

I have a 1900+, 512 ram, GF3 TI500 and I performed around 40fps in doom3 with mid-quality in 800x600 resolution
