ah well i managed to recover from this crazy night.
we shall start
i got to Guv just before 11 and there was no lineup at all, so we got in quick. the place was pretty empty inside, but i noticed some of the different decorations they had setup by GU Mark Oliver was really spinning a sick house set, most of the songs he dropped were played by GU dj's such as Steve Lawler, Deep Dish, John Digweed. one song i did recognize was Shmuel & Baranes - Spanish Tale, the track came on about 11 20, it was this dirty driving bassline and tribal beats & drums 12 30, Sharam comes on. starts of the set very original with a suprising chillout deep house track, wat a tune! from there he slowly progressed to soul-ful/jazzy house which was played for 30mins, then played some funky-vocal house. after 1 40, he started to really get banging! sharam dropped a couple of dirty progressive house tracks in a row then played 1 pr 2 techno tracks and then did the all over again, from progressive, tribal, funky to techno ali came on around 3 15 and he was even more nastier than sharam. he dropped Phil K - My House Is Your House (which techno mix is it??), literally everybody on the dance floor went crazy! he played a lot more deeper, darker & dirtier than Sharam overall, i think this is 1 of the best Deep Dish nights in toronto we had so far...i never seem Guv with a "vibe" and spirit within it lol
Deep Dish 10/10!!!
i meet up with halo20 & mecha and everyone else i have missed Guv was alright until 12 30, after that it was a huge disaster no space, no room, too hot, etc. but that didnt bother me, there was always the patio which was open Guv-6.5/10
