Actually guys -
The Main Automation channel is ok, but not after you start deleting and inserting bars (with the insert/delete buttons).
This is a much better way:
Lets say you're still talking about your 3OSC line that repeats every bar, but slowly slowly rises. What I do is decide how many bars its going to take to rise, like lets say 16 bars (thats usually long enough but it doesn't matter).
What i'll do is select a blank pattern and name it "*3OSC VOL Rise" (I use * to remind me its an automation channel only). Then I fill in the square so it starts right when the first 3OSC starts, but never again. Kind of like this:
* (*3OSC VOL Rise)
**************** (3OSC)
then I have the whole 16 bars to automate, draw, etc. It will still acomplish what I want, only now if I start jacking with the construction/timing of the song, the volume rise can easily be moved just with the *3OSC VOL Rise pattern. Plus, if I want to do the same thing later on in the song, all I have to do is fill in that square again.
If anyone doesn't understand, ICQ me and I'll get you a sample file.
