Its about 200 miles from Long Island to DC. My advise is to leave really really early. It took me 6 hours to get home from Long Island. To be exact, I was in Marrick, chilling with a friend of mine. The traffic was terrible, but I am glad I got home. IF you need a hotel, go call Red Roof in DC. They are located just across the club. Rate are like 70 a bucks a night. So it's okay deal; not too cheap though.
