Hi, First Post.
Anyways, The way I do it is like this : I sit down and start to mess around with a keyboard or synth. Gradually a Melody will begin to take shape. Sometimes it'll be a simple little thing that just sounds right and other times it'll be a a 16 measure, epic sounding melody. It usually depends on the mood I'm in.
Sometimes I make the bass line first, that will sometimes make the the shape & sound that the melody's going to have a little easier to find.

Remember, melodies for music, and especially trance, are endless in possibilities. You'll eventually find a melody of your own that is amazingly beautiful. |
GODDAMN HIPPIES!!!! ARGH!!!
