if you do so than its ok!

i just mean that sometimes by mistake people can add the VSTi as a FX in the effets channels.... and then control it with MidiOut... but then you can't use other FX (Delay, Reverb..) on it...

Ok, but you said that when I add them as a generator I can use the filter. That's not true. I can only use Fx filter then...

you can always sample the soft synth though...and then use the filter.
