so what if he plays voyage at every party... that track is simply incredible, it deserves serious playtime... as for the rest of the tracks, i dunno, i guess that one is true, cuz he played almost the same set when he was here in toronto, dunno why he does that...

he needs to get a WHOLE new box of records. Im not dissen the guy, he's a good dj, but the past couple of sets around the Zoom, Israel set and Sensation, all his sets were extremely alike except for maybe 2 or 3 tracks.
Armin van Buuren and Ferry Corsten are pushing their sets into unknown territory so why cant Tiesto?.. is he too afraid he might lose popularity?
i accept Flight 643 is a big step forward from his previous tracks but then like Delerium - Silence.. he's gonna overplay so much that we all get bored of it.
just my 2 cents.

what i think is that a lot of people in the u.s. arent familiar with tiesto, and since he is now coming to the u.s. his old/same stuff will grab a lot of peoples attention.. |
That's downplaying the set. No good DJ should ever do that! Oakenfold's guilty of it, as well as PvD was doing it a while back. Face it, a lot of people know they're old tracks. I'll forgive PvD, since he's always seemed like a shy guy and was probably just playing it safe...
About Tiesto, I don't know. Dropping 'Silence' as the encore @ Limelight three months ago? Not only was the track caned to death, but it was extremely dated (some of us heard the first mix of it in 99'). To top it, he had just released his mix of 'Innocente', which he somehow didn't play. And then JP @ SF does! Ugh...
I hate to say this, but he is sleeping with the enemy. Oakie's been seen at a lot of his shows. I think there's no coincidence of this track downplaying, the fact that he's recently released a mix for 'Flesh' from Perfecto (also 2yrs old), and has been dropping Bullitt - Cried to Dream (also 1yr old, perfecto) in his sets...
