Original Poster, I see what u mean... If u want to learn some UK/International English, go to these sites to get you started:

That'll get you started on using their WORDS (and I think spelling too). Now, the accent... I'm an American but, can do both "distinct" accents. It's a bit hard to explain this. I can say most words a few different ways. Example: Short "A" sounds in UK Eng. are like the A in "aah". In words like car, four, floor, door, etc., they drop the "r" sound almost entirely ("four" sounds a bit like "fool").
