dude, do it. you never know what could happen. better spend time backing up instead of banging your head after you lose your music. remember all those "hdd crashed, 1000s of mp3s lost" threads.
i myself can tell you a story how i almost screwed up my almost new 40gb hard drive by breaking one of the connector pins. fortunately, i had backed everything up 2 days before and i was able to fix the connector anyway, but that's not the point. i did lose some software files on the other drive because of data corruption, and i DIDN'T have them backed up. so now i back up very often (and so does swamper, after the horrible forum crash of february 2002 )
