Not a Digital expert but a question...Isn't it the Sound Card's Hardware or processor that changes the analog input signal to Digital???? If so.......... then why would different Software programs be better?? If it is a digital signal before it is introduced to the software, then whats the point of Sound Forge and other ellaborate Recording Software. (For recording music only!!!! not to be confused for studio recording/Mastering applications)

The reason I ask is because I use Wave Sudio instead of SF now and never noticed a difference
