I think its a shame really - as Trance Nation 1 was in my opinion one of the best trance compilations ever.

His contract with Ministry of Sound has finally ended, and honestly I don't think Ministry should have had that much influence on the tracklists of the CDs. Thats why on the cover it always says mixed by Ferry Corsten, but his other CDs will say compiled and mixed by, not just mixed.

why buy a cd that is mixed digitally with traktor?

which again results with no creativity, and the cd will become very boring.

the only difference on mixcd's (especially trance) are the tracklists..
otherwise they are all the same

g0 trance!..

i got every single trance nation there is. 1 was definatly the best, then the purple one (3?) then 2, that was fat too. but rest of em started to get a bit crusty... especially the new one. ah well, all good things must come to an end.

edit: mixed by Dipesh Parmar. who the fck is that ??

To be fair to traktor is live dj mixing software, ie you have to mix them using your ears.

Software like pro tools or mixmeister do not require you to do any mixing, just editing and selecting the length of time it should mix the records for you.

Most cd's are done using pro tools or at least edited to take out the bad mixes and cut time off the tracks so more tracks can be fitted on.

This was even in dj magazine, a big article about it.
