That's an excellent choice I agree that audio recording would be very useful when using a hardware synth and with the pace that those fruity guys have worked in the past I wouldn't be surprised if that came up in the near future.

If/when I get a Virus I am most certainly getting one of the ones with all the dials and stuff. No way I'd go with a rack version... Hands on is the way to go. Just my opinion, though.
Robstar, you may want to look at some Novations and/or Nords, too, before you finish that list...

I heard that Novation will release a softsynth based on the Supernova engine. With some external knobs that could be mighty wicked. I love the knobs and hands on approach of hardware, but the routing/menues and so on is much more managable on softsynths imho. Stuff like handling patches and distributing external effects and outputs is also something I prefer in the software versions. I really wanna try some of the Walfdorf synths to. I have heard very good things about them Some of them are bloody expensive though

Hahahaha, ain't that the truth!

robstar if your'e going for 80x0 i sugest that you pick the rack-model (8080) since it's cheaper and has a few extra features that the 8000 lacks

Yeah, but I want the keyboard version. And the Jp I*m thinking of buying is cheaper then Rack versions I've seen for sale.
So I'm gonna go with the KB ver.
But It would be cool to have the rack ver, since it has got a vocoder and stuff.
