Yup, He owned the Palladium, Limelight, Tunnel and ClubUSA. Back in the mid 80s till early 90s, the Palladium was by far the most popular club in NY. I would say from 1986 to 1992, the Palladium was the number 1 club in NY. The Palladium became so popular in 1986, because MTV broadcast ClubMTV with downtown Julie Brown from the Palladium. From 93 to 97, the Limelight was the most popular club in NY. The Tunnel was also very popular, but not as popular as the Limelight. After the Limelight closed in 1997, Twilo from 97 to 2000 was the most popular club in NY.

aaaaaahhh Club Kid days.....what fun...bring back 1993-1997...NYC SUCKS NOW....
yep Palladium was his as well -- remember that shit was THE place for me when I was in High School (heh ahh the glory days of NYC clubbing).
and agree with you about NYC SUCKING NOW (in lot of respects, not just the clubbing scene)...maybe just that we're getting old and nothing will be as it was for us when we were 15-16 through 19-20
bah!
never went to ClubUSA (was just before my time), but heard so many stories (good ones) from that place -- ah well.

hmmm very interesting.... hope he does bring something new and big.. b/c i think we really need it. exit is a great CLUB... but the place has some shitty ass vibe! so if he could bring something bigger and better then EXIT with GREAT VIBE.... man, it would be great!.. i went to tunnel few times when johnny vicious first started to spin there... but, after his first month, that place started going downhill again.

I think One Nation was Tunnel's last good party. It was the last time I was there. If I'm right, they ran that rave right after they ended the Johnny Vicious Sat night party. Vicious played some real great shit back then, and over the past 2 years he's just gone downhill.
A while ago a heard something about someone buying the venue and planning to turn the place into a dinosaur museum.
Yea, my father works in the building, and that was the last update he gave me. Gatian, didnt pay rent for like 2 years straight and the owner of the building was forced to kick him out. On the bright side, my father gave me a tour of wats left of Tunnel about 4 months ago, and it was really great to see what is still left of the place. I checked out the dj booth and took a few vinyls that were lying around. The gem was Digital Blonde - Europa EP, so I will always look at that record and remember where i got it from.
