actually once you buplish something publicy and you claim to own it with a valid proof it is exclusively yours until somebody prooves the opposit, in our case, the Date stamp of each post is clear enough to show if we own it or not unless someone else could show he posted the same article before us. So if you claim it your property it is yours and you have the right to protect it, a copyright is valid once you declare it,but it doesn't stop people from stealing, only Copyright Agencies can help you with that, otherwise you can claim it yourself and wait till the person accused reverse his actions.
Now go read books

damn this is lame... very, very lame!!!
What's the fun of being a reviewer if you copy them?!?!
Also, if she had asked to be able to quote or copy them, this shit wouldn't happen. Anyone remembers when my Misstress Barbara pictures were on her site without me knowing so? nor having any link to my site. lame very lame.

Welcome to the internet.
i don't agree with you Skipper , why would we take the time to write the reviews and attend the events when someone else can just copy/past what you did and claim to be a "professional reviewer" ? as i said we're not looking for credits or fame or working for trance.nu or whatever. I swear if she emailed/PMed me to ask if she can use it i wouldn't say no.

this is not the purpose of this thread.

""As an active member of the clubbing scene in Montreal, I can often be seen at parties in clubs such as Aria, Sona, Stereo, Red Light, Club Dome, etc.""
i quote that entire thing: her lame factor is like 10/10 cuz she had trhe guts to put aria (the best club in the world) in the same sentence as dome/cheese factory tststststssss

I have an idea !
Why don't the TAs from which Mel stole the reviews from become official MTL reviewers on trance.nu since she isn't worth much.
That's if you want to.

I'm not disputing that what she did was lame or that you wouldn't let her use your reviews if she had asked. What I'm saying is that unless you take special measures to protect every thought of yours that goes on to the internet, in whatever form, you really have no grounds against her in terms of "you stole my idea."
Like I said, what she did was lame, but certainly not unusual in this day and age. When you post your ideas on a public message board, you post them for everyone!

I agree with Skipper. It's simple, something is protected by copyright once it has been copyrighted. That requires an act on your behalf. If it's not copyrighted it's public domain.
What Mel did is plagiarize since she used your work while claiming she wrote it. That gets you kicked out of school or fired but that's about it, she is allowed to grab it and use it. Whatever your name is on TA Mel cause you obviously troll here for reviews, you suck hard and you should be ashamed of your charade...go write up a review about a night at le Dome with MC Mario headlining or something....if you can even do that...
