thirst that once more the dark marvel of dreams...

Actually, the term is Known as SYNAESTHESIA

It is a term that describes the crossing of the senses, such as feeling sound.

Some famous composers were known to write their classical music on the basis of how the music "tasted" to them

According to http://www.dictionary.com

SYNAESTHESIA

n : a sensation that normally occurs in one sense modality occurs when another modality is stimulated [syn: synesthesia]

&

syn·es·the·sia also syn·aes·the·sia ( P ) Pronunciation Key (sns-thzh)
n.

1. A condition in which one type of stimulation evokes the sensation of another, as when the hearing of a sound produces the visualization of a color.

2. A sensation felt in one part of the body as a result of stimulus applied to another, as in referred pain.

3. The description of one kind of sense impression by using words that normally describe another.

--------------

The top definition looks like it applies here. Varioius senses throughout my body are stimulated after my 'hearing' sense was stimulated.
