"T.A.T.U. : All the things she said" is a commercial song for sure.
But I won't say they suck, because years ago, the same song was released in Russia (in russian for sure ). This means, that, in actual fact this song wasn't produced to make a lot of money. Just the modern (the english) version is commercial! Despite, "all the things she said" is their first release in english, there are a lot of older songs in russian (some friends of mine still know them from the time, they lived there).
Imo, just the fact, that they released a english version to make money sucks, but T.A.T.U isn't bad at all.

Actually the synth riff in the middle of what is otherwise a standard alt. rock number is quite nice. The vocals are bad, I cant stand that style of singing in any type of music. In the US, they are posed to become big with the alternative crowd.

if you think that you can't earn money being a pop singer in Russia, you are absolutely mistaken. top Russian popsingers, which are not even known outside the Russian-speaking community, have millions of dollars in assets. Tatu made a lot of money selling the Russian CDs

and actually the original, Russian, versions were released not "years", but 1.5 year ago.

Igor Krutoi, russian pianist/composer who writes a lot of garbage, err, I mean music for these "pop" singers actually just bought Russian MTV not too long ago - that should tell you how much loot he has. Most of these "pop" singers have a house in LA/Miami and can be seen prancing around hot spots.

Leontiev, one of singers and embodiment of russian Liberacce is a multi-millionaire, as well as Alla Pugacheva (old hag, embodiment of Barbara Streisand) have more money than PvD, Tiesto, Oakey, Armin, Ferry, Sasha, Dickweed, and other top 100 DJ's combined.

And that's saying something.... I guess it ain't that bad singing Russkuju Popsu....
