like DJ Jade said, ortofons sound so crisp, and I didn't really notice this until today. You are right man, the bass out of stanton cartridge is a lot harder and banging, but it doesnt pump out enough tremble.

Ya BUT the Orto is Sphere and the Groove is Ellipse, did you take this in to consideration?? Treble Freq and deteriorate first on worm stylus.

thats true greener but i made my observations on new stylli for both... i have a pair of new groovemaster needles that i never used becuase i liekd the ortofons so much better.

Well.. The Ortofon DJ Nightclub S is spherical and the Nightclub E's are elliptical, and the E's are more expensive because they're meant to have a better dynamic range, aint used either tho, still no decks, poor uni student.

ever seen a dj have to lick the contacts on an ortofon ???

thats because the regular ortofons wear out your tonearm contacts

get the ones that mount on the stock Technics headshell!!!!!
