I've been to a lot of Punk shows and and punk tours, and I've been to one Manson concert, and I can safely say that Manson is easily the best live act I've ever seen (Besides John Digweed ) So go out and learn a little about music before blatantly trashing some of it. i like punk, but only if it has a meaning to it..i dont like "hardcore punk" which its all just yelling and screaming..but there are some good artists out there.

Its funny because "The Used" isn't even punk. I'd wager most of you have no idea what real punk is. But thats ok. Regardless, some of the singers may not have the greatest voices, but thats not what its about. Punk isn't about being the best guitar player in the world, or having the greatest voice, its about using the music, however much of it u have, to convey a message.

It's all about the music. The crowds are or at least should be a by product of the music. It's just like in trance when someone puts a hhot track on, you get your dance on. If they play some thing really bad, your probably not dancing.

Btw, from what everyone keeps saying about punk, most people don't seem to know what it is, who/what exactly do you think punk is?

i think wut ppl are meaning to say is stuff more along the lines of metal...punk is pretty damn fluffy and poppy/happy stuff if you ask me. anyway, i gotta admit metal while a lot of screaming and not the greatest musically, is a great release of emotion/anger and is a great way to get back at society and its crappy rules. my two cents...

as for your gf going to a concert...my gf (5'0, 92 lbs) is going to linkin park in the UK in march...while i'm a lil' wary cuz of her size, i kno she loves them so i'm gonna stay quiet on this and hope for the best. at any rate, it could be worse....at least she's not going to some crazy hardcore goth concert.
