i've only seen the first year so all i can say is that the first year people may or may not have known what they are getting into. it doesn't really matter. i am not denying that there is a price they pay for it. i just think it is still a lame disgusting show and thats my firm opinion about it.

hmm...i dont watch any of the reality TV shows, cos i got turned off by them pretty quickly, but the fact is that these shows are making their producers and the networks they air on tons of money, because ppl. (who watch them, and there's obviously alot) like seeing others getting humiliated on national tv...makes us all feel better when we can point to sum1 else and go, 'at least i'm not THAT bad!!'...

i like watching american idol....i think its pretty funny, especially the first couple showes...like the last season i prolly wont watch after that...but out of all the reality shows this one pales in comparison (when talking about a shitty idea for a show) to the bacholar or however u spell it....that show has a terrible concept...and imo is a lot worse than american idol..

and for whoever said "only in america" im pretty sure this idea came from england..

An acquaintence of mine was actually on the show where they were looking at auditions in Nashville, but only for about 4 seconds. He basically just made a fool of himself though.
