Review...

Its 2:54pm, and I got about 1 hour sleep so far! Yay!

My Review:

Got to Viva at about 10:20 or so anticipating another horror of a line-up, but I was wrong! Got into the club and theres like maybe 10 ppl, my first response "Yikes I hope it gets more busy than this" Which it did at around 12am before Orkidea went on.

Peter Ivals : Didnt like what he was spinning, but I guess he was spinning crap songs because the club was dead. He threw down a couple of hard tracks.

12am Orkidea : Man what a set lots of hard bangin tunes at the beginning then he went melodic which I loved!!! I will always be checking this guy out EVERYTIME he makes a visit to Toronto. Never Dissapointed.

JOOF! : This guy completely wore me out, but I couldnt stop moving to the best beats ive ever heard! Very Impressive set, alot better than his last couple of appearances @ WEMF.

De-koze : Man this guy has sooo much energy up on the decks, I love it when a DJ gets right into his music and set. The crowd went insane when he dropped Mauro Picotto - Baguette!!! I love the break in that song!!

Hartec : I was pretty much worn out by the time he came on, and pretty much just bobbed to the music as I sat down and rested! But he by far spun the hardest tracks of the night.

Shout-outs to all the TA's I met : Diginut, Durafei (Loves my sunglasses), tatgirl, halo20 (Heres a guy that can party hard!!), and of course I cant forget Time2Burn!!! Man so nice meeting you, it was pretty weird at first. and HighRoller all I gotta say is, I've never seen someone use glowsticks before like you do, amazing shit dude! If I forgot anyone else, sorry, but my brain is wacked!

Hope Everyone had as much fun as I did!!

Great night. I met a few TAs but from the turn out.. there was no way I could meet all of you. Shouts to highroller, diginut, elmo, nytehawk and durafei. And if you didnt catch me.. I was the guy who took the big group picture.

dRale- If you thought the atmosphere last nite was 'crap', you probably would HATE it even more on any other given nite there. The crowd is usually 80%+ filled with people like that- last nite's party was geared towards a different clientelle & brought out a much better crowd than normal.
Personally, I thought the vibe last nite was off the hook!!! I honestly wasn't expecting this party to go off as well as it did- it was empty when we got in. When Ivals dropped "Dark Beat", I got some people to move out onto the dance floor, and soon enuf, people followed. I'm always happy to attend parties at Viva when the TA's are out in numbers, but I amazed myself even when people were asking me what I had taken, when I was still totally sober, cuz I had such a huge smile on my face. It was so good to see the huge amount of TA representation, and so many 1st-timers there, that I hope come back to party with us again there.

Does anyone else find this hilarious? That they're selling earplugs at the coat check? I didn't know about it then, but I laughed my ass off when I read this.

I have to assume that the cracked-out grey-pube AZN mainlanders will always be a part of Viva because Viva is in Markham. But so what, why do you let it bother you? Just ignore them. I got pissed off at them once or twice and was almost ready to backhand them, but I'm not going to call that a "bad atmosphere."

And I was sober from 10 to 7, went to chill once or twice for about 20 minutes but still made it through.
Flemming finished a little after 5, if I'm not mistaken.

My Review:

OMG I DIE!!!!

thats all i can say about the night.

I was standing in the parking lot with Nathalie, Ken and a few others when i heard Funkatron - Robbie Rivera. I RAAAAN in cause i love that song! The party got started for me right away with that song. Ivals played his usual set and i was mentioning to other people, he plays alot of the same songs! but they're good songs!

Orkidea came on and he was ok, a bit too uplifting for me, but thats just my opinion.

J00F came on and the beginning of his set was pretty boring to me so I got in the VIP lounge and chilled with RJ, Jenna, and her b/f (whats your name dude?) which was pretty cool. i was just chillin in the VIP lounge until i heard some GOA at which point I ran out into the crowd and went craaaaaaazy (this was after drinking quite a few red bulls ). The beginning of J00F's set I didn't really like that much, but the end of it sure made up for it.

Then the MAN came on: DEKO-ZEE! This guy never ceases to amaze me. He went from techno, to hard house, to uplifting trance, to hard german techno back to hard house! this guy was INSANE. He at one point played For An Angel - PVD (with some other song playing in the background) and this one girl who was a TA (can't remember her name) went CRAAAAAAAAAAZY! I was laughing hahah. Deko-zee has so much energy on the decks I always go crazy when I see him. When he played Baguette I almost died, I've never had such an adrenalaine rush in my life!

Harctec came on and didn't give me any break from Deko-zee with his hard tracks, it made my night complete. I've never been able to party till the end of the night but last night was an exception! I was still goin crazy till the VERY last track when they turned the lights on, and there may have been 100 people in the club left.

I got to meet Deko-zee and talk to him during Hartec's set which was pretty damn cool. This guy is GREAT and I will be seeing him many more times.

TAs I met: RJ, Ken, Mirza, Nytehawk, Elmo, JennaRae (with b/f), Ambiguous Bliss, Harcore Trancer, Trace Ecstacy, Chris, Desidel, LKD, Az, Swamper, Nat, Allan, Diginut, Mosaic, Halo20, the 2 girls who traveled from NY (can't remember your names), and Durafei!

I think i may be forgetting a few, but there were SO many, and I still havent met a few of you!

BEST PARTY OF MY LIFE!!!!
