Hey Danny, heard a lot about you from G-Money. I think this is something 385 Evolution will try to do in the near future. Hope you come back from China and we can start something. The TA stage sounds like a plan so far but we need a club like the clubs in TO and Montreal....people who appreciate all the music by DJs......too bad you won't be here for our club night but I am sure you are having a blast in China......check out the scene in China then bring some ideas back......PEACE OUT!!

G-Money, I think we need to talk or meet up....call me..

I'd love to come over every time there is a trance event in Van but the fucking ferry's are so damn expensive and I work full time. I could always do a walk on but then i'd have to catch a bus and I have no idea of roots.

Sucks living on the "rock" in some asspects but this really sucks because i'd love to be there supporting the scene in Van

Peter is my friend,,, although he'll probably be playing with f&K at this show. Keep in touch though and maybe some other dj's from Calgary might like to play.

peace.

apri_peel is right...the public has no idea of things going on in Van. I'm constantly finding shows that my friends have no idea are going on, but only because I search for them in Newspapers and on here. I was in Montreal last summer and the streets are literally plastered with flyers when a big name dj comes to town, when it's as easy as walking down a street to find out about a show you would think that a lot more tickets are probably going to be sold.

A lot of people are put off by the stigma associated with electronic music-shit, if I didn't love it I don't know if I'd put up with the people you find at raves as much as I do. We do need more club nites that are exclusively trance/progressive, but perhaps promoting the few that exist now should precedent.

If it is a club night just go to www.clubvibes.com everything is there. For 'raves' go to www.teamhardcore.com and I am sure there are a hundred other sites out there. If you check these weekly you will never miss anything.

holly shit !
does the scene suck in this place or what !
seriously people !
I always say that this is the beautiful place to live in if you are retired !
this is the city for grandpas and grandmas... no offense or anything but it is so !
night life for young peeps is at the bare minimum
I dont know if it will ever hit the level at which eastern canada is at or posssibly Europe...
Until some major reforms from the political poing of view are done regarding partying and nightlife this is gonna be "old town"
I give props and congratulate these people (the whole TA crew ) who love this music so much as I do and they are trying to make a difference and make things better... if it wasnt for them we would still be banging our heads against the wall while listening to top 40 and similar "party music"
If it wasnt for this darn school I would be out every time supporting and getting involved in the trance scene in any way I can ! I realy would cause I love it !
but UBC is tying me down hard... load is getting heavier every week
too much stuff to do and too little time
pisses me off but what can I do its important and its a priority !

oh ya and the apex idea would be excellent !
could that be possible to happen !?
It would be perfect and I would like to help in any way I can! Anything... And can I spin too (shamlessly asking) heheh
Also more promotions and radio stations playing our stuff ... Velocity is not enough.... its only once a week in the evening and in the time most people are out partying...
you know how they opened that "the beat" thing radio station recently ? Well thats exactly what needs to be done for electronic music !

enough of my rambling
I know you all know whats the situation
and the sooner we pull the efforts together and join the better for all of us and the community
peace out

Yeah, after looking at the lineup for Aria in Montreal I got depressed about how badly Vancouver sucks. Hopefully the new laws help matter, but until then, not a heck of a lot one can do.

What is the price range in bringing in big name djs such as Tiesto for a club night? Maybe a 2 hours set......

Maybe this is just what Vancouver needs - some big name djs to keep the scene growing...no doubt Twisted is doing a good job but a lot people prefer clubs than a rave IMO...and whats up with the bylaw about clubs closing at 4:00am?? Shouldn't it be in effect now??

10 grand US for the likes of Tiesto, AvB, PVD on weekends. If anyone feels like lending me the money, I'll throw a wicked clubnight that may or may not break even =)
