In ottawa we can turn right on the red like the rest of the world and i've never had problems walking across a street. Its really not that hard. you pass when your supposed to and the cars always stop for you, you have the right of way, but he doesn't have to wait for the light to turn green ffs, that's just stupid. Its like mergin on to the highway, no different.

I remember when i used to work in Montréal...the first time i tried to cross a street, i thought i was gonna die!!
Also in Montréal ppl cross the streets whenever and however they want...ppl dont think of others...
Now i've been traumatised and i'm afraid to cross streets
