Also, ich agree mit Lunchalot volkommen. So schlimm wird hier noch nicht gespammed und auch wenn die meistens Sachen offtopic sind, was solls, Spass haben wir auf jeden Fall

Geld dafür zahlen sehe ich (noch ) nicht ein, nicht für den Spamm-erhalt .

Das mit der Bandwidth kann ich voll und ganz verstehen. Habe schon viele Seiten gesehen die dadurch einfach untergegangen sind.

Man könnte TA aber auch anders unterstützen. Man könnte den gesamten Grafischen inhalt auslagern (Spart ne Menge). Das dumme dabei wäre das man dafür einen wirklich zuverlässigen Server braucht.

The socialisation (some would call it spam, some would call it off topic) in the regional forums is a very good thing and IMO the main reason for regional forums. So I`m against closing threads where people are socialsing themselfs. I agree that there are very good arguments for closing the "spam" threads that were brought up here. The most significant IMO is the one that it eats up a lot of bandwith and slows the forums. This is why I tought that it is time to not only take but also give. Since there is no donation system for TA (the reasons were explained to me by AndiH) I ordered myself an official TA shirt to show my support for TA. I know that the money from the t-shirts does not cover the costs for TA and I don`t want to build up an arguement like "We want to keep it, so we pay for it", but I want to give a sign of support. I have also talked about this issue with the people from the Germany Forum and asked them to follow my example and set a sign and also buy a t-shirt. ATM drizzt81 is about to set up a kind of delivery service to Germany for the people who support this. Also the members of the Germany Forum are supporting the arguments I brought up here and most of them see it the same way I do. Now you can argue "How could you bring something up in public that is dicussed in this forum?". My answer is that it is something that affects the members and they should be aware of this and I see it as one of my duties to keep them up to date with things that concern them. To sum things up: A lot of the things happening in "spam" threads is socialisation and this is IMO the main reason for having a regional forum (I`m not talking about things like the example Coup provided in this thread). This is why I voted to keep them open. If we stop people from socialising with each other and having fun they will go away and this would be, at least for us GTA`s, something that would be a heavy blowback for us.

ach du meinst zum beispiel das prinzip wie bei einem online-game z.b. spaceassault??

Keine Ahnung wie's da läuft, ich weiss nur das es eine menge Bandwidth spart

Die Graphiken brauchen so gut wie keine Bandwidth von TA weil die Signaturen nicht auf TA liegen und die Bilder in den Threads auch alle verlinkt sind. Es wird also nur die Bandwidth der User belastet, aber nicht die von TA.
