you right johnny eckhardt..they DONT know any better and thats just sad..i have proof of this cause one time this girl asked me what music i like and i told her trance techno house and shes like hmm..ive heard of techno but whats the rest? (and when she thought techno she thought the prodigy)so in the u.s. it is dismal..any kind of music made just for money and MANUFACTURED is bullshit..isnt it so obvious that its put together by the recod companies to be able to return maximum revenue? i mean look at tv theres like 10 shows where they are MAKING bands i mean wtf is that? the record companies control all of it so its gauranteed to be shit.. you force people together, throw them a loop and a couple of lyrics, tell them how to dress and how to act, and you got yourself pop music.

That`s right they think they like it because the haven`t hear any thing els and have nothing to compare it to . like I said before people are eating up what the recording companies feed them . And the big companys they won`t change its all money money nothing about having the best music .
I can see the smaller labels becoming bigger because of this as more and more smaller artist will sine up to them . If you get a recording deal with a big label there are just going to tell you what to do .
