I prefer Reason because I don't like the sequenceur of Fruityloops

i dont see what all the fuss is about with fruity.. the way its made is all over the place...

logic i have had a little experiance with @ college.. its pretty good but you need hardware to use it to its full potential.. but i found it way too long-winded..

i use reason, i love reason. i dont use the sequencer (as its world reknowned as being toss).. what i love about reason is its all there in front of you... its even nicer on dual monitor the softsynths and all the other soft-hardware looks really good (very much like the real thing). not to mention the way u have to plug everything in the way u want it (which is supremely cool and makes things a little less confusing for me)

but there is one thing that makes reason better than all the rest... and thats the way the wires bounce when u turn the rack round

Actually I'm a Reason2-Addict.

But well...I kinda despair with reason2. I'm using it with ReWire2 connected to Cubase SX, otherwhise Reason's sound quality would be a bit weak imho.

I tried Fruity once, and I gotta say: Nice Soundquality !

I think of switching to Fruity for good...but I'm not sure yet

i have used rewire with cubase before. it works fine except when i very first press play it plays sounds that its not supposed to from reason and then there is a very slight delay after that, but everything works fine, in sync, etc. i actually like using them together because you can work in reason and use vst instruments at the same time. also, you can use vst effects on reason instruments. another thing is that you can use the cubase sequencer to control reason instruments as well as the instruments in cubase, or you can use the reason sequencer for the reason instruments and the cubase sequencer for cubase stuff, or a combination... that is nice because if you want to take a project you already started in reason and expand on it in cubase then all you have to do is load up rewire and you reason file and then just start working. i want to try layering some vst and reason synths this way too, for example fm7 + subtractor and see what kind of sound i can come up with.

I'd say whatever your comfortable with. I've been using Fruityloops for a year, and it doesn't stop me, or limit me in making the style of music that I like to make. I thought Fruity was a 'techno lovers' dream, but with more thinking, practice, and experience, I've been able to make many genre's with it. At first glance, it looks like a 'Playskool' product, but when you actually tweak those knobs, and play with the sequencer, you'll find that there's a monster inside that little jack-in-the-box. -Mental
