It is indeed pretty damn good. I've been listening to it (and some of his other earlier sets) on and off these past couple of weeks and I really enjoy them.

And some other good sets are:
Resident - Paul Oakenfold [2 CD cream set] - one of my favorite.
Creamfields 1999 - Paul Oakenfold
Live @ Space - Paul Oakenvold
These are probably the best trances sets of all time.
The glory days of 1999.. I'm so glad I saw Paul O. live in 1998, 2000... His sets are still amazing, but nothing like 1998, 1999.
Ah, memory is bliss.
Lets not Forget Essential mix - Liverpool University. The last essential mix tour set. Probably the best.
Unfortunately Oakey is not what he use to be eventhough he is very capable of performing the way he use to. I still keep this belief that one day he is going to make a huge comeback and be once again the leader. But for now his sets remain in our memory and our hard drives / stereos.

Dood, this is so funny....
I was driving home from work today (1.5 hours from Toronto to Markham - due to the blizzard) listening to Liverpool Essential Mix....
And then I was thinking....
Somebody needs to convince Oakey to put out a "classic" compilation - the best of trance (1998/1998 and maybe some of 2000) - 2 CD set and follow it up with a world tour - the exact same mix as the compilation - but live.
And you think he made $$ from Tranceport and Bunnka!!! He'd make a fortune from that... I promise... Can you say $60 Guv tickets - sold out!!! I think (hope) so!
Ah well, I guess I can only dream and remember of seeing him at his prime live. I know he still has the skill... Lets hope he does it - one day.... (crosses his fingers)

I added the Essential Mix in an edit..
I'm now recanting my edit (I hope I'm not wrong)...
I believe that the Essential Mix -is- Creamfields 1999.
Creamfields (the festival in Liverpool) had Paul O.'s Essential Mix in 1999 - they are one on the same (again, I hope I'm not wrong [I don't think I am]).

Ok, my bad.. I am wrong.
Oakie played both Creamfields 1999 (in the summer) in Liverpool, and also played Sunday 28th November 1999, 2:00 AM @ Liverpool University (TrueToTheCrew you're right on!).
