I agree

I think having all these genres is stupid too, but it helps so much when I'm vinyl shopping online to know what genre it is that I like. I don't know that many artists or labels, so I generally just shop by genre.

I think it's called progressive because it's more complex than normal house or trance tunes...

I'm the same way. I like the stuff that's more trancy. I mean, I buy a lot of prog house, but it's the stuff you can spin wiht prog trance.

Ah, but it isnt that easy. Satellite Records has TOO MANY records to just listen to randomly. Knowing the genre can help you find stuff you like.
