i disagree.. if a track is melodic it doesnt necessarily mean its uplifting, there are many melodic tracks that arent uplifting.. i would say uplifting and epic go together well, but it isnt exactly the same..

for example,

Thrillseekers - Synaesthesia(PvD remix) isnt a "uplifting" track, but it def. is a melodic AND epic track.. another one is

Three Drives - Carrera 2(Original) this track also gives an epic feeling with melody but it isnt really uplifting..

i agree,,,,i was just stating in general thats what people say...

I beleive an uplifting track can be any genre...even Happy Hardcore....if it uplifts 'you" then it is uplifting regardless of the label.....

Thats why when people ask what trance i like .. I always say Epic trance...because Melodic in general means anything that is a catchy tune...like a tune that gets stuck in your head until it gets annoying...anything can be melodic (Britney Spears, Rolling Stones, PVD, DJ Tiesto, Eminem, Garth Brooks, Mozart)...anything that is catchy basically....

thats why i just say Epic Trance now...

i forgot to put in my other post that "some people call it uplifting and/or melodic"....but as i just stated anything can be uplifting and melodic...depends on the individual...
