it does actually depend on what ya want it for, if you believe you will need the Eq's then get the A&H unless ya wana fork out extra for the Rane EQ thingy, but if ya dont then its an equal argument, as both can provide very smooth mixing, perhaps the rane can give the smoothest transition, but if you need the effects then get the A&H, cos if ya get the rane and want effects, uve got even more money to be forked out.

If your buying a mixer for the house DONT buy the A&H.. It is a mixer designed for club use. Its uselessd on a normal bedroom set up...

OK! Well how about I tell you how my younger brother(the ignorant one) uses my set up. A set up which has seen both an A&H and 2 Pioneers in its time amongst other mixers. He is talking from experience as am I when i say the A&H is usless when using on a normal bedroom set up. Plus the fact I DJ on a A&H 464 every week in my resident club means I qualify (as does my "ignorant" younger brother) to comment on this mixer more than probably EVERYONE on this post...

dude chances are if your spending this much on a mixer your not gonna have to worry about getthign "extra" effects and "added" features of the xone.... rane make the best top line mixers. end of story.

Whats wrong with you, are the hemaroids playing up again. The fact of the matter is you buy an a&h mixer for that superior sound quality, which can only be found on a club sound system, and not in a bedroom.

I must say im gonna get a pioneer djm600 simply its a beast for home/small parties. There is no reason too sit and complain its sound quality isnt on par with a A&H or Rane.... I own a rane i love it.....do i need it, no.....Ive mixed on just bout everything cept a old urei(ive alwayz wanted to)..anyway look at armin van buuren's mixer in his studio.....its not some huge beast...

btw its not the mixer that makes a dj its the dj....oh and who gives a fuck about a silky smooth crossfader i never use a crossfader i just use the levels.

Ya this mixer is cool but the real mixer that i origally wanted was the dateq mixer used at trance energy But its only available in Holland.

Rotary mixers suck. Rane is a really good brand I guess but the thought of having to rotate a knob to bring a track up to volume turns me off. I'm not very well versed in rotary volume control knobs, and I've heard that on certain Rane models, the volume will sound really soft right till you hit around +0dB, then all of a sudden it hits the roof. How smooth a mix can you accomplish with that?

ive used a rane rotary mixer and i can tell you its the smoothest thing around...

and why the fuck are you bagging out veldrid, it is pretty iggnorant if you think a pioneer djm 600 (which is a great mixer, no denying) is better then the top of the line ranes/allen and heath's....
