- Well, the response by the Turkish was that, in order to have had let the US troops in, there had to be a 50 plus 1 veto for it on the turkish parliament or congress.. forgot whichone they had. And since most leaders were against it, they clearly said to the US that Turky respects the democratic decision of their constitution and the the will of the people. If the TURKISH does let the US troops, where as 95% as mentioned above are against it.. it wouldnt really respect the democratic state of that country, wouldn't it?
