Gotta agree, Viva's security is outstanding...at system is just as good though. Most other clubs don't even come close to either of those.

Overall, Viva's security is fine. I like System's a bit more, somply cuz there's more consistency there. At Viva, rules seem to change on a weekly basis over what u can or can't bring in. Also, walked up to the door last nite, not a soul was in line, the chain was off by the entrance (line bypass area), so we went to that opening instead. Door guy sees us walking up, puts the chain up, and tells us to walk back around the barriers. I was like: "Excuse me?!?!" Luckily, Ari was there to tell him otherwise, but I just laughed in his face- "That was really sad.... really sad. No one is in line, & u want to make us walk all the way around? Pathetic!" Boo on him. Bouncers on power trips get 2 thumbs down from me.
A funny thing happened w/another bouncer last nite. Some bouncers have gotten to know me a little over time, & this 1 guy Mike (in passing) asked me "U don't live downtown do u? And you do photography?" (yes to both) Well, turns out, he's been over my place before (over a yr ago) when he dropped a mutual acquaintance off here one day, came in & hung out for a bit. LOL! Small world!

I have to disagree with you there ... I've been promoting DeepGroove at System for all most 2 yrs now, the security are a bunch of ******s and have no respect for ppl that are there every week. I don't get them at all, they are nice inside the clubb ... but when your line ... they are such dickheads.
During the line outside
1) I still get searched
2) they always ask me for my ID
3) they ask me who's list I'm on
4) they give out sooo much attitude to ppl
5) they give DeepGroove a hard time when they escort me in
6) none breath nights, they ask me how I got on the list
7) I've seen many of them causing trouble for the heck of it.
Yeah ... I don't get those guys at all, pure powertripps.
