last time people discussed this, the dutch seemed particularly offended. maybe they can shed light on this disturbing phenomenon|
exactly!
i'm loking for some dutch replies because i know this BS started somewhere, and i know people still do it and someone out there hears it and thinks they're cool.
Dutch, speak up on this please!

In defence of whistle blowers... there's a difference between a club and a rave... at raves there were times you could use it and it would fit in right, it depends on the crowd and the music and whether the whistling actually pumped you up and fit into the track...
Harder edged trancers with a long buildup and then a sick bass-filled peak were great for a few whistle toots and then you leave it at that... peeps who keep going and whistle without any rhythm or point should be shot, agreed.
...but I used to live by the whistle

2 years ago when PvD was here at the Showbox here, a dood busted out his whistle, asked politely ppl around him if they had a problem with it, and apparently nobody did so he whistled.
he did a good job though, i didnt mind it at all, it actually helped out the atmosphere
