Donnie Darko was good. And if you thought Mullholland drive was fucked up, you should try one of David Lynch's better movies. "Lost Highway", it's really fucked up, it's a movie that will have you thinking. I had the movie for 2 years before i could actually make some sort of conclusion on what it's about.

Make sure you get the director's cut of Requiem (the other version is heavily censored) and if they still have it, the Special Editon of Memento (one of the coolest DVDs I've ever seen!)

Seven, The Thin Red Line (one that everyone seems to hate), and Waking Life are my favorites...along with a bunch of foreign flicks...

emm i'd have to say the Ring, i didnt know what was going on till the end :P

ya, after she got out of the well, i thought it was over. I'm glad it didn't end like that though, it would've been to cliche if it did.

Lurid: I thought The Thin Red Line was pretty good. I want to watch it again.

The Beach, thats another interesting movie. I love the quote at the very end, how paradise is not a place where you go to, but a place in time.

glad you like it enough to watch it again. I got it on old skool laserdisc and have probabbly wasted more than a day or 2 of my life watching it! I think what ticks people off it that they expect a typical war movie and instead get over 3 hours of mostly voice overs and philosophy...

Cronenberg movies are pretty messed up too (ie. crash)...sometimes not in a good way...

I do not know if this counts, but
Eyes Wide Shut, and American Beauty are to say the least different and not the typical movies, and i do not know, may be American psycho that movie is funny but surreal i thought, esp the end.
